Recycle Your House

Instead of demolishing your house, recycle it! It could go to better places than a landfill.
Asphalt shingle scrap can be used in a variety of products, including:

  • Asphalt pavement
  • Aggregate base and subbase
  • Cold patch for potholes, sidewalks, utility cuts, driveways, ramps, bridges, and parking lots
  • Pothole patch
  • Road and ground cover
  • New roofing
  • Fuel oil

Wood from cabinetry or floors can be reused as:

  • building material
  • mulch for landscaping
  • wood chips for trails
  • pulp for paper production
  • furniture
  • fuel
Cement from the driveway, chimney, and foundation can be reused in:

  • bases for roads or driveways
  • backfill for other buildings
